Self-managed funding
You hold your Disability Support Program funding and you decide who provides your support. ABCare can be one of the people you hire, for as much or as little as you want.
What this means in practice
Your funding is yours to direct. You choose who works with you, what they do, and when they do it, within what your funding covers.
It also means the administration is yours. Arranging cover when someone is sick, keeping records, and staying inside your budget are your responsibility rather than a provider’s.
People choose this route because they want the say. It takes more work, and for a lot of people the say is worth the work.

- Cover when your own arrangement falls through

- Health-related supports connected to your disability
